The International Sambuddhathwa Jayanthi Buddhist Film Festival, ovens up an entirely new avenue of wholesome progress to the film culture of Sri Lanka, Already this festival has guided hundreds of Filmmakers both local and foreign to produce works on Buddhist themes on an unprecedented scale.

The organizers of the Festival have launched an extremely praiseworthy movement to upgrade the cinematic skills of those who participate in the film festival. This is an entirely free service, undertaken for die capacity building of mostly the younger Filmmakers who have joined this holy initiative,

The National Film Corporation is always ready to assist the Filmmakers to produce risk films for die next year’s Film festival that will be staged undoubtedly at a global level.

As the Chairman of a partner institution of the International Sambuddhathwa Javanthi Buddhist Film Festival Organization. I experience a deep sense of pleasure when I reflect upon die impressive progress we have jointly made, to date.
