Famous Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala arrived to Sri Lanka tonight (16/05/2011) via UL 423 from Bankok at 11.30.

She was warmly welcomed by  Sri Lanka Tourism and Light of Asia Foundation officials. Ms. Manisha Koirala is sheduled to participate for International Buddhist Film Festival which will be held from 18th - 22nd May at BMICH - Colombo.

This Buddhist Film Festival is organised by the Light of Asia Foundation.Sri Lanka Tourism has joined hands with 

Light of Asia Foundation to sponsor this event.

 

Commenting on her visit Ms. Koirala said " This is my first visit to Sri Lanka ..I am delighted with the warm welcome received" Alongside with Ms Koirala's arrival many other mega film stars are sheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka during the next couple of days whom include Jet Li, Deep Roy Charlie, Allen J. Freedman and Steven Seagal.

 

This Buddhist Film Festival is organised to celebrate 2600th Sri Sambuddhathva Jayanthi. Countries like Sri Lanka China,Korea,Japan,Thailand,Myanmar and India etc will be forwarding their films for this Festival.
