You can submit your Films in DVD’s (two copies) along with the filled entry form.
a.    Via ‘WITHOUTABOX’ - All International entries are accepted this way
b.    Directly posting to: - No 42, Dr. Lester James Peries Mawatha, Colombo 05, Sri Lanka.

There are 3 deadlines as follows:
Jan 31st – WAB entry cost $10
Feb 28th – WAB entry cost $15
Mar 31st – WAB entry cost $ 20

All entries submitted through Withoutabox will be acknowledged on the WAB site when we receive them. DVD’s posted directly to the Film Festival Office will be acknowledged via email.

There is no limit to the number of films you can submit. Just be sure to fill out a separate entry form and pay an entry fee for each entry.

• Short Film - (Recommended duration is 12 minutes)
• Documentary Films - (Recommended duration 10-20 minutes)
• Feature Films - (There is no time limit)
• Animation Films- (Recommended Duration 3-12 minutes)
• Mobile Films - (Recommended duration is 3-5 minutes)
• Buddhist Music Videos – (Recommended Duration 3-12 minutes)
• Docu-Dramas- (Recommended duration 10-20 minutes)

Films which convey a Buddhist message would be chosen for an award of merit. Films which support the truth and realities of the world and existence would have preference in judgment.

There is a higher chance of your film being selected, if your film conveys a Buddhist message or truth and realities of the world.

We will notify all filmmakers by email if their film has been accepted or rejected by April 16th, 2012. Please be sure to keep us updated regarding any changes to your e-mail address.

Your Film will be screened at the Film Festival in May 2012 including further promotions at other Festivals throughout the island and world.

Your movie will remain on this website until you request us to remove it via email.

Yes, the ‘Light of Asia Award’ is presented for winners under each category along with other attractive prizes.
